NYO Games Art Contest
Whether you’re an athlete or a fan, here’s your chance to show your NYO Games Alaska spirit: Enter the 2025 NYO Games Art Theme Contest. The winning artwork could be featured as the official NYO pin of the 2025 NYO Games!
Contest Details
- Open to Alaska student ages 6 to 19 year olds
- Artwork should be suitable for a 1.5″ pin
- Submission deadline: December 1, 2025
- Submissions must be submitted in JPG/PDF form.
- Submission submitted via email will not be accepted.

- Design must reflect the spirit of the Games while celebrating Alaska’s rich diversity.

- Cultural Heritage
- Appreciation for Subsistence Way of Life
- Collaboration and Peer Coaching
- Personal Achievement and Growth
- Inclusivity and Accessibility
- Should be appropriate for all audiences
- Artwork must be original and cannot include AI-generated content
- Artwork cannot include any copyrighted or trademarked material
- Cannot include identifiable individuals without consent
The winning design will be featured on the official NYO pin and the artist will receive 10 complimentary pins and a thank you gift.
Intellectual Property and Usage Rights
Rights Transfer Agreement
By submitting artwork, participants (and parents/guardians for minors) agree that:
For Winning Entries:
- CITC obtains perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the winning artwork
- Usage rights include: promotional materials, merchandise, digital platforms, and organizational branding
- Attribution will be provided to the artist when feasible
- Original creator retains copyright but grants extensive usage rights to CITC
For Non-Winning Entries:
- CITC may use submitted artwork for promotional purposes related to the contest
- Usage period limited to [timeframe – e.g., 2 years from submission]
- Artwork will not be used for commercial purposes beyond contest promotion
Artist Protections:
- CITC will not sell or license the artwork to third parties for profit
- Artist retains the right to use their own work for personal/educational purposes
- Artist’s name will be credited when artwork is displayed publicly
CITC reserves the right to:
- Make minor modifications to winning artwork for technical requirements
- Resize or reformat artwork for different applications
- Combine winning artwork with organizational branding elements
